Discovering Wasdale

Wasdale is famed for being the the home of England's Highest Mountain, Scafell Pike, England's deepest lake, Wastwater, England's smallest parish church, St. Olafs and the World's Biggest Liar, Will Ritson.

Great Gable at the valley head has become an iconic image of the Western Lake District and the Screes running along the banks of Wastwater provide an imposing backdrop.

The high fells dominate this beautiful valley, but why not discover the beauty of Wasdale with a low level walk?

Wasdale is home to a myriad of footpaths and bridleways, ancient and new tracks that meander through the valley floor connecting the historic past with its present day community. As a member of the Wasdale community and a qualified Lowland Leader why not contact me to help you negotiate the lowland pathways of Wasdale?
