Based in the western lake district valley of Wasdale, Cumbria, my interest in T'ai Chi and massage has grown out of the organic development within my own lifestyle.  This initially started with becoming vegetarian when still a teenager in the 1980's. By 1990 I had taken up fell walking and rock climbing, however, the major change in lifestyle came about in 1995 when I started to learn and to practice T'ai Chi, implementing T'ai Chi's many lessons into my daily life. Eventually teaching within Cumbria's Adult Education framework; running workshops and demonstrations for Age UK and music festivals, as well as being an Inset Provider for Cumbria Local Education Authority. I gained my Certificate in Education in Post Compulsory Education from UCLAN along the way.

It was after the birth of my daughter in 2002 that I enrolled on a Holistic Therapies course at Carlisle College, Cumbria. Setting up my own business offering Body Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy to clients. In 2012, I decided to study Sports Massage at Manchester School of Massage in order to be able to enhance my skills and therefore benefit my clients. In 2016, I became a Certified Practitioner of NAT Trigger Point Therapy and in 2017, I gained my On-Site Seated Acupressure Massage qualification and my Lowland Leader qualification enabling me to lead groups in lowland countryside. In 2018, I gained my Dorn Method Therapy & Breuss Massage qualification. In 2019 I gained my Post Graduate Diploma in Oncology Massage and a diploma in Myofascial Dry Cupping.

With the practice of T'ai Chi and that of my work as a Therapist, a keen interest between the mind-body connection developed. This in turn led to a natural organic progression into embracing and deepening my understanding of how to quieten the mind and how to sit within the natural world of nature. Appreciating the changes within myself that meditation brought and wanting to be able to share meditation, to enable others to have meditation as part of their tool kit , I undertook my Meditation Teacher Training.

In 2021, I became an Associate Meditation Teacher for The Meditation Centre, Dent, Cumbria.

I am an Instructor Member of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.
